Giving more than Sentiment

In the US today is a day we all take time to gather with friends and family and give thanks for what we have.  I think on some level between the stuffing-ourselves-too-full of pie and turkey we all contemplate the things we are thankful for.  We tend to be grateful for good health, family, friendships and possessions.

What if we all did something different and made gratitude an act.

What if instead of in words we expressed our gratitude by doing something kind for someone else.

Some of you may actually already do this.  It is not something I have personally made part of this holiday.  I tend to think about giving or giving back at Christmastime, but really, what better time to focus on doing something that is an expression of gratitude than Thanksgiving.
